Madrid Academy of Art is proud to announce our summer drawing and painting program!

We offer classes in both English and Spanish and provide instruction to students of all skill levels.

The program runs Monday through Friday from 9am to 2pm, for a total of 25 hours of instruction each week. We focus on two primary methods of drawing and painting: the Comparative Method and the Constructive Method. Our classes will be conducted with a live model present 50% of the time.

This program is offered for a minimum of 1 month and can be extended for up to 3 months. If you are interested in joining us for the summer, please contact us for more information. We look forward to seeing you in the studio!

Program and subjects:

     Drawing principles (Language of form, Block in, Values, Edges, Color Design...)
     Anatomy (Proportions, bones and muscles of the body, anatomical differences by sex, age and race...)
     Perspective (One-Two-Three Points Perspective, Multiple Leakage Points...)
     Sculture (Skull cast study, Portrait with model, Anatomy study...)
     Cast drawing and painting (Different sketches in different position and final drawings)
     Figure drawing and painting (From a life model in comparative and comparative constructive method)
     Portrait drawing and painting (From a life model in comparative and comparative constructive method)
     Still life and landscape painting (In comparative and comparative constructive method)
