New Purchase Award

We are pleased to announce the next purchase award for the 12th International ARC Salon Competition. Andrea Bills’s drawing titled, Waiting for Alice, has now been added to the ARC Collection.
	"My inspiration began for this drawing when thinking about The White Rabbit from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, and the Disney song, 'I'm late! I'm late! For a very important date! No time to say hello, goodbye! I'm late! I'm late! I'm late!' My original idea was to make the Rabbit the central missing figure for this piece, but as the idea evolved through sketches and preliminary work I decided to make Alice the missing figure, while the Rabbit and the Hatter are left waiting for her arrival."
All purchase awards will be exhibited at the live exhibition for the ARC Salon which will travel from the Salmagundi Club in New York City to the MEAM museum in Barcelona in 2017. More purchase award announcements to follow.
