The Seventeenth Annual Boston International Fine Art Show (BIFAS), starts next week, Thursday - Sunday, November 21-24, 2013 at The Cyclorama at the Boston Center for The Arts, 539 Tremont Street in Boston's hip and historic South End. Both traditional and contemporary galleries from the United States, Canada and Europe will offer more than 3,000 original works of art. The show opens with the Gala Preview on Thursday, November 21 from 5:30 to 8:30pm to benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children-Boston. | ![]() |
In addition to the works for sale, there are several educational events lined up including one of John Singer Sargent’s watercolors and his influence on today’s artists in conjunction with the exhibition opening in October at the MFA; a panel discussion on “Rediscovered masters”, with Peter Trippi as one of the panelists talking about rediscovered 19th century artists; and a program on the stained glass windows of John La Farge.
