Hi Yo Silver is an homage to the young buckaroo spirit and features two horse toys that were beloved three generations apart. The small toy on top of the rocking horse is a Lone Ranger action figure from the 1950s. (“Hi, yo, Silver! Away!”) It has a key, which, when wound, makes the lasso swing! The rocking horse is an exquisite, hand-carved creation from the late 1890s. I found it on my annual antique hunting trek in Roundtop, Texas - and as soon as I saw it, could see it paired with the Lone Ranger toy in grand fashion.
