The Story-Teller

Noni Hazlehurst AM is an Australian actress, director, writer, presenter and broadcaster. One of her most famous roles is as a presenter on the beloved Australian children’s show, Play School. When Noni was in labour with her son, there was a massive storm, and a swarm of butterflies came fluttering to the window. The minute he was born they all flew away. This has been a powerful and emotional memory for Noni, and so I felt it was fitting that butterflies were part of her portrait and also a representation of her amazing gift of storytelling.
