Born in South Sudan, Jeffah Thaubach was separated from his parents at the age of 6 and at that tender age was forced to move to a refugee camp in Ethiopia. All up he spent 22 years in a refugee camp, growing into adulthood, marrying and starting a family, before moving to Australia to live and work. Jeffah is now a Project Officer at Centre for Multicultural Youth in Victoria and a father of six. Much of his work involves working against racial profiling. His story is one of faith against the odds, and ultimate freedom and a life where he and his family can feel safe.
