Seek Not, My Soul, The Life of the Immortals

This pose and the feelings it brought forth in me, along with another painting displayed here completed the same weekend (I dream, therefore I become), were the first paintings I ever completed of my model, Johnny. I worked on this one and I Dream at the same time and completed both in one weekend. The model, the poses, and the lighting were strong muses guiding me forward. The title comes from an old quote. Often, I will let the painting tell me the general feeling I derive from the piece and I will then search literature online for a quote which captures my feelings and use it as the title.
