Block, Tackle and Defend

When I was living and working on the Nickells Cutting Quarters Ranch I painted the things that reminded me of the time I worked on my family's tobacco farm along with the influences of Andrew Wyeth's art. The block and tacle hanging on a hook in the horse barn inspired this Trompe-L'oeil painting in oil on board.
