Tiernan's Brook

This is the second in a series of landscape paintings. My granddaughter took the photo reference for this work. It is a winter day in Texas. The brook runs cold, trees are bare and thick clouds cover the sun. A stillness brings time to reflect. Like the mood of this piece.

My granddaughter took the photo for this piece.  She has a good eye.  The cool mood inspired me to paint this still brook.
