A Light Touch

I was burning a soy candle that my artist friend Carrie Waller sent to me from her home near Tokyo, Japan. I found myself instinctively cupping the warmth of the flame in my hands and I felt this comforting peace and creativity washing over me. They say a divine fire burns in every soul. I think there are moments where we feel it. I tried to capture such a moment in this painting.
