U.S. Coast Guard

This is the third of five paintings for the Veterans Educational Historic Monument, this painting depicting the stories of the men and women of the U.S. Navy and Merchant Marine. It’s a departure from my usual subject matter and the most emotional of my career. The location is the committal hall at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, where final rites are held.
