A Tribute to Painting

This was done as a way of recovering from a devastating house fire at my parent's home in the fall of 1984. Many paintings and much of my equipment was lost; fortunately many of my Italian souvenirs and work was in another location in the home and not ruined by the fire. As a mode of healing I put this composition together using all of the beginning artifacts of my education and career, leaning on my own personal history. It was a great help, and hangs in my own home to this day. It is my wife's favorite painting.
