What inspired this painting?  Most evident - my love for the sea.  In this Portofino harbor is a small fishing barca - sturdy and ready for a day’s journey.  Who is the local fisherman?  What will his efforts bring?  Perhaps a routine day.  Perhaps not.  Promise, moored in the moment, rocks gently with anticipation - a metaphor for life.
