Porcu is a painter, sculptor, and anatomist who earned a B.F.A. from Pratt Institute and an M.F.A. from the New York Academy of Art. He has studied drawing, painting and anatomy with Salvatore Montano, and sculpture and stone with Alfredo Cardenas.Mr. Porcu has devoted his life to the true study of anatomical form and movement, based on human dissection. He currently teaches anatomy at the Art Students League, the New York Academy of Art and Pratt Institute and has lectured at the National Academy as well as numerous other venues.
