Sculpture
Thank you to Atelier Programs at Gage Academy of Art: the Magrath Sculpture Atelier and the Aristides Atelier for sponsoring this category.
ARC is proud to present the finalists and winners of the Sculpture Category in the 12th International ARC Salon. This represents 58 entries out of the 138 works entered into this category. The subject matter is open in this category and includes sculptures created in all media. However, the category mandates that the works are actually sculpted, casts made by pouring materials over models to create molds are not permitted. Sculptures are unique in the visual art world because they are 3 dimensional in nature and, other then reliefs, utilize 360 degrees of space requiring the artist to fully think through this aspect of the work, keeping it interesting and well thought out at all angles of view.
