New ARC Associate Living Master
September 29, 2017
ARC is pleased to welcome Mark Heine as an ARC Associate Living MasterTM.
"I am a storyteller. My art is the expression of a carefully chosen moment, captured from a larger narrative. This story is constantly playing, moving forward and changing, as each painting alters the course of the narrative, igniting my imagination for the next. The road is never a straight line. I believe that artistic growth is directly bound to the challenge we undertake. The larger the risk, the greater the reward..."

13th ARC Salon Figurative Category - Sponsored by the Florence Academy of Art
September 28, 2017
The Florence Academy of Art, one of the Art Renewal Center's first approved schools, has been advancing the training and techniques of classical painting and sculpture for 25 years. It has formed many skillful artists who are important members of the Realist Art movement of the 21st century. The Florence Academy recognizes the importance of the ARC Salon as an international showcase for classically trained artists, in particular now as the exhibition expands to a live venue. Through its sponsorship of the Figurative Category, the Florence Academy hopes to help ARC continue to cultivate the global audience of students, artists and patrons. Students who apply to The Florence Academy of Art seek the language used by Rembrandt, Velasquez, Titian, and the tools to convey their ideas with confidence through the oil or clay mediums. A common visual aesthetic draws them to the classical world (and its renaissance in Florence) to build an artistic vocabulary where beauty and humanity are intrinsic to art. To accomplish this, the Florence Academy’s methodology combines intense observation with advanced craft skills. The Florence Academy of Art is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) as an undergraduate certificate program. With three locations in the US and Europe, they encourage their students to take the opportunity to study in Florence, Sweden or New York.

The Barnes Atelier of Art teaches academic methods of drawing and painting to aspiring professional realist artists. The studio based in Barnes, in southwest London, provides an excellent learning environment with two studios, one with both natural and artificial light, and one with lighting set up for copy and cast work.
The studio set-up allows for a small number of students at any one time in order for the principle artist(s) to work closely alongside the students, demonstrating their own work and allowing them to provide one-to-one teaching to each student.

New ARC Associate Living Master
September 25, 2017
ARC is pleased to welcome Denise Antaya as a new Associate Living Master.
"We are surrounded by beauty. I often wonder if people see the world as I do. Do they see the magic that is all around us? I choose landscapes because I am rebelling against the fast paced world we live in. Often stresses of everyday problems keep us from enjoying what is around us. We take things for granted. As an artist, I work hard to create paintings that speak to me, and hopefully, to others, about the important things in life..."
