2024 Classical Art show by students at Bucks County Classical Arts Center
Published on May 30, 2024
Bucks County Classical Arts Center proudly announces its 2024 Student Work Show. Guests can embark on a visual voyage of over 30 drawings and paintings by students and instructors of the school, created during the school year from September 2023 - May 2024. Subjects include still life, portrait, and figurative artwork created in pencil, charcoal, and oil in the classical realist tradition.
Conveniently situated minutes from downtown New Hope, the show can be easily accessed with free parking and a handicapped accessible location at the school building of St Martin of Tours Church. This is a special opportunity to see artwork that combines focus and discipline to achieve old world craft and technique. In many cases, students can spend dozens to hundreds of hours on drawings or paintings to get a museum quality result.
"We take immense pride in presenting these drawings and paintings. The dedication and focus of our students never ceases to amaze me. I believe guests will be surprised that students made work of the quality level they achieved. It is rare in our modern world that people work this way, and they did a spectacular job!" - John Murdoch, Director of Bucks County Classical Arts Center
The exhibition runs from June 5- 15, 2024 with the opening reception on Saturday June 8th 11am-2pm at the Bucks County Classical Arts Center, 1 Riverstone Circle Room 205 of the school building of St. Martin of Tours Church in New Hope, PA.
