Magical Reflections – Johann Erdmann Hummel
Published on December 9, 2021
The Alte Nationalgalerie is dedicating a long-overdue exhibition to the painter Johann Erdmann Hummel, an artist who, despite his historical significance, has long been neglected. Inventive reflections, nested spatial constructions and refined uses of light were some of Hummel’s key interests. The exhibition features some 45 paintings and 50 drawings by Hummel.
The exhibition runs from October 22, 2021 - February 20, 2022 at the Alte Nationalgalerie, Bodestrasse, Berlin 10178, Germany.
