In the fall of 2019 we went fly fishing along the Saluda River near Columbia, South Carolina. The day was cool and the leaves were beginning to fall. Fish decided to ignore our lures, so we found a lovely spot to take a break. The warmth of the sun threading through the trees framed our red rubber raft and I saw a moment that begged to be painted. Life is like that - presenting moments that grab our attention. The tranquility is to be savored.
Fall scene along the Saluda River, Columbia, SC. The moment convey is what I strive for in my work. Here the red raft sits idle as one rests from an afternoon of fly fishing.
