Her early career was influenced by her experience at Hallmark Cards in Kansas City. She is a Signature member of the Oil Painters of America, the Miniature Artists of America, the American Women Artists, the American Society of Marine Artists, the National Society of Artists, the Paint America Association Signature Society, the Florida Artist Group and the Florida Plein Air Society. She is a member of the International Guild of Realism and an Art Renewal Living Artist. She is also a Signature member of the American Watercolor and the National Watercolor Societies. Her paintings have achieved prominence through acceptance and awards in major national juried exhibitions.\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003EHer works are included in private and corporate collections throughout the United States. She has taught and conducted Workshops in the US and Europe and has served as a judge in Art Shows on the local, regional and national levels.\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003EWhile gaining a national reputation for her watercolors, the addition of oil painting and miniature painting to her repertoire bring a new dimension to Elaine\u0027s work and has resulted in her art work being accepted in regional and national exhibits with several winning awards.\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003EShe works from her studio on the Gulf of Mexico in Florida, where she focuses her efforts on developing and expanding her Oil painting techniques in Landscapes, Still Life, Miniature Painting and traveling for painting and Plein Air Events throughout the United States and Europe.\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003E\u0022Through the years I have focused on developing my work and style to capture the beauty of what surrounds me. I particularly like the early morning and afternoon light, which enhances the colors, creating unique and interesting reflections and shadows and I am drawn to very unusual subjects with strong contrast in lighting and interesting shapes and textures. I find these subjects exciting, challenging and inspiring and I enjoy trying to capture each element of them. My Miniature Art is a real challenge but lots of fun. I strive to create an image that draws the viewer to a pleasant experience.
