This unique fine art project Americans in Paris (AIP) created by artist, curator, gallery owner Vanessa Rothe in 2016 is a group of contemporary realist artists following in the footsteps of many historical masters who had traveled to Paris to be inspired by its culture, art and beauty and to create and exhibit alongside another as the French Impressionists and writers of Paris past.
It aims to introduce some of today’s leading fine artists in Realism to exciting new subjects discovered by travel abroad, and to be inspired by literature, as well as to study important group composition from the masters in some of the top museums in the world. It also encourages a rare comradery among living artists today who are often alone in their studios to come together to learn, grow and share. Celebrating its sixth year of various exhibitions and events, including shows at the prestigious Salmagundi Club on 5th avenue NYC, Arcadia Contemporary, pop up shows in Paris, and demos at Laguna College of Art and Design. The fine art project is officially sponsored by Sennelier Colors du Quai paris, and Savoir Faire art supplies, Raymar panels, Cerno Revelite and a special thank you to Peter Trippi Editor of Fine Art Connoisseur, and the Salmagundi Club in NYC.
