Begonias and Sunlight by Jim McVicker

These are my potted begonias set up on the railing of the studio deck. I loved the view of our yard and the trees on the property as a backdrop. For me this was all about the glow of the morning sun as it hit the flowers, railing and the rug draped over the railing. I used this rug because of the strong color and rather graphic design. I feel it is a good balance to the earth and a busy background but does not overpower the sun-drenched flowers.
