Painting is a meditative process for me. First comes the thrill of inspiration, then the rational effort to design a pleasing composition. Finally, I turn on the music, enter my creative "zone", and proceed to bring my vision to life on the canvas in a slow and contemplative way.
Drawing and painting have been a life-long passion for me. This passion has endured several lengthy life detours, including earning an MBA and working for several major companies, caring for a wonderful family and building a successful design consulting business.
But I never let go of my first love. Over the years, I was privileged to take intensive drawing, painting and anatomy workshops with a number of master artists across the country. Frequent forays to museums and galleries in this country and in Europe furthered my knowledge of fine traditional painting.
Continually painting from life and completing a variety of public and private commissioned works during those years gave me great joy. It continues to drive me to produce elegant and well-crafted work for my clients, which I now do full-time. A wonderful life, indeed!
