Kate Jenvey SAA is a realistic oil painter and pencil artist using nature as her inspiration. Her artistic interest began early as she grew to love and admire the animals that were part of her childhood in East Africa. Her passion for Africa remains strong and influences much of her work today. After her move to Australia, Kate has settled into a rural lifestyle and now this subject matter is also featured within her colourful paintings and intricate pencil work.
Kate has demonstrated her work in an interview on the TV show ‘Colour in Your Life’ and had a feature article in The Australian Horseman Magazine titled “Capturing Wild Spirits”. Her pencil work has been published in ‘CP Treasures, Vol IV and Strokes of Genius 9 and 10. Kate is the recipient of many awards, including an international award and has been juried into many art exhibitions including Western Visions at the National Museum of Wildlife Art, USA and Wildlife Artist of the Year, London.
Kate continues to be an international and national exhibiting artist and has had three solo shows, the latest, ‘Drawn to the Wild’ in 2017 at the Benalla Art Gallery. Kate is currently a signature member of The Society of Animal Artists, Artists for Conservation.
