Sandhyaa Shetty began her artistic journey under the guidance of her father who is also a painter and illustrator. After receiving her degree (BFA) , she worked and exhibited her paintings in Bangalore ,India before moving to the United States years ago.
Her representational landscape paintings are inspired by the raw natural beauty surrounding her. It is the mutual interaction with the divine nature and the emotional connection she feels with every scene she paints determined to be true to the scene she paints. Her immense regard for the rapidly disappearing natural landscape, strengthens her intent to freeze it all on her canvas and hopes that this pristine beauty is preserved forever. She hopes her viewers can step inside her world through her landscapes and find their own meaningful place. She feels mightily blessed to be doing what she loves to do the most and hopes to continue this till her end. She continuously participates in prestigious annual shows being a part of the Oil painters of America,Women Artists of the West, American Impressionist Society, National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society(Signature member) and the Austin Visual Arts Association.
