The focus of my work is the classical human figure portrayed with traditional and contemporary atelier techniques. Working with fundamental art principles allows me the comfort of painting in many styles and mediums ranging from pen/ink, acrylic, watercolor, pastel and oils, to digital art. Each piece tells a story where an individual/s or idea is enveloped in an emotional atmosphere or situation. I keep the painting focused, eliminating unnecessary details while maintaining harmony, balance and a sense of awe. My paintings are a form of personal poetry written in pictorial iconography merging historical context into present-moment human conditions.
