Eric Elia

Eric Elia is an artist specializing in oil paint. Through rich colors and subtle brushwork, his paintings realistically capture the details of their subjects. His portraits are richly detailed through the inclusion of meaningful background props, furniture, etc. to illustrate the essence of a person (or pet’s) character.

Having begun to draw in graphite from an early age, he has since worked in a variety of media, including airbrushed acrylic, colored pencil, marker, and oil paint. As a self-taught artist, he learned his craft in part by recreating favorite film posters and movie scenes, and later, by replicating works of the Old Masters, such as Rembrandt and John Singer Sargent.
