Mark Utreras is a figurative artist in New York City.

 

Looking to begin his studies in figurative art, Mark took classes at the New York Academy of Art at the age of nineteen. He subsequently studied full-time at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and has also studied from medical dissections at Hahnemann University, where Academy students were invited to learn from cadavers. Mark continued his studies at the Long Island Academy of Fine Art, where he also taught in the Young Artist Program. And he studied at the Grand Central Atelier. He is the recipient of the Roger T. Williams Scholarship awarded by the National Sculpture Society, and is a two-time finalist in the National Sculpture Society’s Annual Figure Modeling Competition. He has exhibited in New York, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts, and his work appears in numerous private collections.
