Hilary Swingle

I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah where I currently work and reside. I am a figurative realist oil painter working in the indirect painting method. My most recent portraits feature women as they navigate current societal norms and expectation through symbolism and highly detailed compositions. I am mostly a self-taught artist but I have received instruction from artists Dorielle Caimi, Shana Levenson and Perry Stewart.
