Spyros Prokopiou was born in 1990 in Nicosia, Cyprus. He currently lives and works in California, USA.
In 2016 he graduated with honors from the Fine Arts School of Aristotle University, with BFA in Painting, and in 2019 he gained his MFA, from the New York Academy of Art, in Drawing and Printmaking. He is the first Cypriot graduate from the Academy.
He has participated in various exhibitions internationaly and has excelled with honors and awards. His work published and belongs to private and public collections: Frissiras Museum, Teloglion Foundation of the Arts, Luciano Benetton Collection.
He was granted with several scholarships, selectively: Levention Foundation Scholarship, Presidential Scholarship NYAA, Bob Colacello Scholarship, Cyprus Children Foundation NY.
He works primarily in pencil and charcoal.
