Steven and Thomas grew up under the tutelage of parents who were both artists. Father James E. Seward was an illustrator, portrait painter, and Western painter. Not to be confused with our cousin James Seward, another notable painter. Mother Maralyn, still alive and kicking at age 91, is a painter, printmaker, and jewlry maker. Rounding out the other family painters are siblings Ellen and Peter.
With so many artists in the family it is inevitable that many of us end up either sharing workloads or doing collaborative projects. Such is the painting entered in this years's Salon.
