Hubert Josef Malter is a sculptor who lives and works in Salzburg (Austria). At present, Hubert’s work investigates the tension between human desire for autobiography and the need for external affirmation. By combining his own lived experiences with what is often overlooked by modern society, Hubert’s sculptures become both a physical manifestation of and also a platform for the underrepresented. Each work carries a fictitious narrative made universal through the blurring of animal, figurative and abstract forms.
