Carin Wagner is an award-winning South Florida artist. She was born in Norfolk, Virginia. Carin graduated with a degree in Advertising Design from the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale, winning their Angelo DiVincenzo Life Drawing award of a full term scholarship twice. Wagner works predominately in oil on canvas, with a message of environmental protection at its core.

Currently she is photographing and painting the Vulnerable and Vanishing trees of the United States. This is a slow process as each painting takes months, but the need to protect our trees is urgent.

 

She has exhibited throughout the U.S. Her work has been included in multiple museum shows, including the Ft. Lauderdale Museum of Art, the Coral Springs Museum of Art, the Boca Raton Museum of Art and the Cornell Museum in Delray.

Her work was part of the Curator’s Choice show at The Box Gallery, chosen by Marisa Pascucci of the Boca Raton Museum of Art, and in March presented at The Boca Museum of Art and was the featured artist at the Cornell Museum in Delray Beach

 

Her awards include: two time winner of the Peoples’ Choice from the Cultural Council of Palm Beach, Peoples’ Choice from Lighthouse Art Center, First place in Continuum Palm Beach, the Mahlon Cline Award of Excellence, and the Dorothy L. Irish Memorial Award from the National Association of Women Artists.

 

Her work is featured in American Art Collector magazine, Fine Art Connoisseur magazine, the book Grand Ambition, by G. Bruce Knecht, and written about extensively in publications such as: Sun Sentinel, Palm Beach Post, Gallery and Studio, an International Art Journal, Architectural Digest, Florida Design Magazine, On View Magazine, Showboats International, and many others. She is currently represented by Gallery Biba, Palm Beach, Florida.
