Canada

Pavel Sokov's work can be described as impressionistic realism. Specializing in oil painting, he began at the age of 7 and started selling commission portraits at 17. When he was 24 years old, Sokov was approached by Time Magazine to paint the cover of the Time's illustrious Person of the Year edition. Pavel Sokov's work has been featured in many publications and has won several awards. Through working with Time Magazine, the Bahrain Royal Family, Saudi Royal family, the Jordan Royal Family, Fortune 500 Companies and well known entrepreneurs, his work is found in collections across the world.

He is fascinated by the narratives, textures, traditions and people he encountered throughout his many world travels, which birthed his series "Stories of the World".

He also spearheads the "Gravitas" project which celebrates the leaders of science through oil portraiture in order to pay respects to the value that scientific accomplishment brings to our lives.
