Gregory DiNapoli is a New Jersey based graphite artist working in the style of photorealism. He specializes in architectural subjects, as well as cityscapes and landscapes. Greg has been an architecture enthusiast since childhood and is still fascinated by skyscrapers and other large structures. He approaches his architectural subjects similar to how a portrait artist would approach drawing a person, capturing all of the textures and nuances that give each subject its unique personality. He studies how light interacts with each subject and through varying pencil strokes and careful attention to value contrast, creates textures that lift the subject off of the paper and brings the architecture to life. Greg’s work has been displayed in multiple galleries across the United States, and he is a 3-time recipient of the American Society of Architectural Illustrator’s Award of Excellence in their annual Architecture in Perspective international competition.
