Artiste autodidacte, Véronique du Boisrouvray voue depuis toujours une passion au portrait.
Après avoir longtemps dessiné pour elle-même, à la sanguine ou à la mine de plomb, c’est tardivement, et par hasard, qu’elle va découvrir le pastel en 2017. C’est une révélation et une passion qui ne va plus la quitter.
Elle postule sur un coup de tête et sans y croire au Salon International du Pastel à Giverny organisé par l’association Art du Pastel en France en 2018. La sélection à ce salon va l’encourager à poursuivre dans cette voie. Elle participe à plusieurs salons internationaux en 2019 et 2020 et obtient de premières récompenses. Elle est membre de la Société des Pastellistes de France.
Dans sa peinture, la priorité est donnée aux visages et à leurs expressions. Elle cherche à retranscrire le naturel de la personnalité de ses modèles et à créer l’émotion en y apportant lumière, douceur et romantisme.

After having drawn for a long time for herself, with red chalk and graphite mediums, it is belatedly, and almost by accident, that she will discover the pastel medium in 2017. It is then a revelation and a passion that would never leave her.
She applied on a whim, and without believing it, at the Giverny International Pastel Exhibition organized by the Art du Pastel in France association in 2018. The selection at this show will encourage her to continue along this path. She participated in several international exhibitions in 2019 and 2020 and won her first prizes. She is a member of the Société des Pastellistes de France association.
In her painting, priority is given to faces and their expressions. She seeks to transcribe the real personality of her models and to create emotion by bringing light, softness and romanticism.
