After finishing Bachleor's in Architecture, Ruchi pursued her passion in Arts by learning from contemporary artists in New York and in Florence. Her learning at Art students League, NY was instrumental for her in establishing a fully equipped drawing and sculpture studio at DSK Rubika campus, Pune. She instilled love for classical drawing and sculpting in Animation students, they could relate the importance of academic study in designing characters for films.
After teaching for almost a decade she took sabbatical from her job to pursue a full time Sculpture program at Florence Academy of Art, Italy. She is back to India after graduating and currently working on her personal projects and also teaching Animation and Game design students.
Ruchi's sculpture "Alchemy of Pain" was one of the finalist at Arc Salon competition' 2019.
Her charcoal drawing 'Olympia" won Smt. Durgadevi best painting by female artist by Art Society of India'2020
She has received many noteworthy awards including the prestigious Red Dot Award and the Jean Gates Award, both from the Art Students League,NY'2007 and the Gladys Blum Memorial Scholarship from National Academy School of Fine Arts,NY'2006. Her work has been exhibited at the Phyllis Harriman gallery, NY'2007 ,Prince of Wales Museum, Mumbai'2019, Jahagir Art Gallery, Mumbai'2020.
