Adriaan Pannebakker

Poland

A Dutch sculptor born in 1986 in Hazerswoude. Comes from different backgrounds such as tree nursery, cooking and business. Lived in England, Chile, Mexico, Spain and Poland where he dedicated himself to different fields of interest. In Warsaw - Poland he found his way as a sculptor. This was not accidental. In his youth, Adriaan was influenced by his grandfather P. A. de Groot (painter and sculptor), who’s etchings can be found in the Gallery of Prints in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. Art was always there and home was like living in a museum. In 2016, he met the Polish sculptor Aleksandra Smietana as they were both living in Spain at the time. Aleksandra reopened the world of art for him and guided him to his own personal artistry. He applied for the master’s program at the Academy of Fine Arts of Warsaw in 2018 and came to study at “Studio 44” under the guidance of prof. Adam Myjak. Adriaan works mainly with clay, plaster, resin and bronze. His works have sofar been displayed in the Alfons Karny Museum in Bialystok – Poland and in an exposition of The Society of Portrait Sculptors in London – England. There is one work in the public space, in Grzybowo – Poland, at the Baltic coast.
