Dana Hawk is an oil painter specializing in figurative and animal work. She attended Missouri State University initially as an art student but switched to Cell and Molecular Biology, going on to receive a M.S. in Physical Therapy from University of Colorado. She returned to art in 2003 and has been a finalist in the Portrait Society of America Members Only Competition, included in Salmagundi Club’s 40th Annual Open Exhibition, along with group shows at RJD Gallery, Abend Gallery, Reh’s Contemporary Gallery, and has had works published in Fine Art Connoisseur and American Art Collector.
