Florentino “Jun” G. Impas, Jr. (born 1970 Danao City, Cebu) first learned how to draw at age seven. He is a multi-awarded artist who graduated from the University of Santo Tomas. He became the youngest member of the Cebu Artists Inc. (CAI) in 1993, and has consistently shown in both grouped and solo exhibits since then.  He has hosted more than 30 group exhibits and 8 solo exhibits.

Jun Impas was the former president of Cebu Artists Inc. (CAI) as well as the former president of the Portraits Artist Society of the Philippines. His awards in international contests include the following- 2nd place at Portrait Society of America’s Outside The Box Competition in 2019 and 8th place in 2017 and 3rd honorable mention in 2013. He is also a Finalist at Art Renewal Center’s ARC Salon Competition 2019 in Figurative Category. He also won the Excellent Award at the 2008 China Asean Youth Artwork Competition. Locally, he is a consistent winner and finalist at the Martino Abellana Annual Art Competition; won the Grand Prize at the 2003 Philippine College of Surgeons Painting Competition; won the Grand Prize at the 2004 Petron Art Competition; won Second Prize at the 2009 GSIS Art Competition; Finalist at the 2011 Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Art Competition; 1st Prize Winner at the Fernando Amorsolo Painting Competition Mentor Category Regional Level and still 1st Prize winner at the Fernando Amorsolo Painting Competition Mentor Category- National Level.

Jun’s forte medium is oil painting and his forte genre is realism painting. His love for realism painting began due to his humble beginnings that made him want to portray the reality of day to day life. He believes art is not only an expression of love but also reflects the beauty and reality of life.
