Maokun Dou

China

As a young artist, although I only started my art journey for about 2 years, it has been the most beautiful time in my life by far. Living in a chaotic metropolis, things are changing in a rapid way that we could not even realize. There is always a romantic belief in me to record those moments with my pencils and refresh the memories with my creation, which became the initial reason for me to start my journey and the process has been tiredless since then. I particularly  specialize in realism painting with high definition, white, black and grey are the three basical elements in my creation, which are used to present emotions, the stillness of subjects. This work was completed on 4th, February, 2019, which took about 270 hours. It is memorable to me as it was my finish fully-completed artwork, in which it contains all my efforts, passion and endurance. The process was time consuming and required immensely heavy patience, but the result appeared to be satisfying. There is no easy way to anything, only consistent passion and diligence could bring the reward.
