United States

Born in 1944 in Northern Vermont and has remained a lifelong resident of Vermont. Self taught in drawing through correspondence courses and attending many figure drawing sessions with models in the local area. Became a student of ARC Living Master Richard W. Whitney PhD.H for 5 years ( 1975 - 1980 ). Dr. Whitney taught me how to paint by working through portraiture with live models. Next was the selling of my work through a Gallery on the Main Street of Woodstock, Vermont from 1980 - 1996. Know mainly for my Still Lifes, I have recently been working on paintings involving the figure. My still lifes are done working from the arrangement of actual objects that I have set up and my figurative works are done from imagination. I am a member of the Academic Artists Association and have participated in numerous regional and national exhibitions. I have received several awards including a Grumbacher Gold Medallion in the 1991 National Exhibition in Manchester, VT.
