Francis Nguyen

Francis Nguyen has been a disciple of the arts since his early teenage years. Originally inspired by comic books, figurines and video games, he began his journey by drawing dynamic characters in a world of science fiction and fantasy. Overtime, this passion matured into an affinity for classical fine art using traditional materials. Inspired by the old masters, Francis Nguyen synthesizes the archetypes of art history, creating a conceptual narrative that is both self-referential in a historical context and compatible with the contemporary discourse. In other words, he believes that art imitates art, where the traditional characters can take on new roles in a parallel universe.
