My name is Bernadica Veselic. I live and work in Waterloo, Canada and I'm recent graduate from part time program study at Academy Of Realist Art, Toronto.
As an artist I'm interested in variety of media and motifs. oil being one of my old love that I got back to after some years. I also work in pastels and drowing media such as coloured pencils, charcoal and graphite pencils. Regarding motifs I like to shift between landscapes, portraits and stil life.
Like most srtistic children ussualy start, I was also one to show talente and interest in art at early age which continue through my early education in elementary school and on. Love or creating art particulary drawing and painting led me to choose the art field as my professional calling.
Back in 1985 I graduate from School of Applied Art in Sarajevo Bosnia and Herzegovina. Worked as an art teacher in several public schools through yearswhere I earned my Teacher Certificate. I also worked as ilustrator for children's newspaper andmagazine in Sarajevo and at book publishing house in Banja Luka.
Since becoming new Canadian in 1994 my art journey carries on. Through community involvments, sketch club, galleries and other means I continue creating art and exhibiting it localy.
In 1999 illustrated for local health magazine in Kitchener. Some illustrating was done for Multicultural woman's group and local library fundraiser cookbook. As time passed and I become enabled to create my home art studio space where I can continue practise art and to work toward becoming artist best i can be.
With that specific goal in my mind even after graduating in 2019 from Academy of Realist Art learning goes on and I'm trilled to be spending my time creating, drawing, painting and dedicating it to art as much as possible. Applying all the skills that I learned during last nine years of study I hope that my art will become one to look for.
