I always loved creating art growing up, but never got serious about oil painting until after I started a family. My children have inspired many of my paintings. Some of my paintings capture their innocence. Others capture their curiosity. My paintings also reflect my lifelong love of food, especially candy. My mother said that my favorite book as a toddler was an illustrated Betty Crocker cookbook. I can't explain my affinity for pictures of food, but it has followed me into my adult life as well as into my paintings. These paintings of food and family combine my past and present. The one thing they have in common? They are fun.
