David Cemmick

Born in the North of England, David trained in animal anatomy before becoming a full time artist in 1975.
He has illustrated two books documenting the ground breaking work of the New Zealand Wildlife Service and their success in bringing the endangered Kakapo Parrot and Black Robin back from the brink of extinction.
For four years he held the post of Senior Lecturer at the University of Sunderland, UK.
His interests in both the natural world and figurative sculpture have driven his artistic output over the past forty years. In 2017 and 2018, David studied under Grzegorz Gwiazda at the Barcelona Academy of Arts.
