I graduated from University of California, Davis, with a bachelor’s degree in Genetics. My background in science provides me with a unique view in the realm of fine art. What is art to me? The drive to create is already encoded in my genes, but only through diligent work and observing eyes come great art. Art comes from the interaction of my feelings projecting outward and the impacts the world and other people have on me. Art is eternal. There is something fundamental and pure behind each good painting. As an artist, it’s my mission to believe in my vision, and deliver that vision to my audience with my brushes.
My style is classical realism, and my favorite subject is animal painting. I love to paint animals as historical or mythological figures. My current project revolves around animals and pets as well. I have four dogs at home, and they have been a great inspiration to me. I try to make those paintings fun and whimsical, because pets provide us with great pleasure in our daily lives.
