My journey into creative expression began as far back as I can remember. I have always been fascinated with the process of making things with my hands. I grew up in a poor family. Although I didn’t really know it because there always seemed to be plenty of raw materials around to make things with. I give my parents a lot of credit for providing me with all they could. I can only imagine what it was like to raise a young boy with a mind on fire. My world was my imagination fueled by the invention of television, Walt Disney and a voracious appetite to explore… everything! Most importantly, the time and space in which to discover.
My earliest impressions came from cartoons, comics and learn-to-draw books. Every Saturday morning, I would watch the Jon Gnagy Learn To Draw show and I soon developed an understanding of the structure of drawing. I spent a very impactful period of time, growing up on a ranch in Kalispell, Montana. This experience left an indelible impression on me. Cowboys and cowboy ways became my heroes and mentors. I was strongly attracted to their spirit and work ethic… their hand shake bond and the truth in their eyes. These are people of such conviction. Their strength is undeniable. They reinvent themselves every day. I grew up a cowboy.
My art starts with a feeling. A kinetic series of influences that quickly develop into an emotion. How these messages are received and how they impact my sensibilities ignites a passion to create. My passion for creativity is constantly driven by the process of discovery and the challenge to express my mind’s eye.
I am an artist who paints from many pallets. I established the Entertainment, and Design Agency: Kaiser Creative, and created the charities "UUMPHH" (Children's charity), Athletes and Entertainers for Kids, and the "David Kaiser Scholarship for the Art Center College Design".
