I paint directly from life,always.I strive to maintain a painterly quality without sacrificing structure or detail.When posing myself or other people I try to aim for the informal,which to me adds to a feeling of authenticity. Influences include but are not limited to Rembradt,Velasquez,Honthorst,Ribera,Repin.
