Teresa Brutcher

Teresa Brutcher was born in Phoenix, Arizona in 1955. She graduated from the University of California (Davis) with a BA in Studio Art and continued her studies at the University of San Fernando in Madrid. While studying there, she collaborated at "Grupo 15", a well-known printing studio and gallery in Madrid, where she learned etching and lithography from master printers, techniques which she employed during the early years of her career. She returned to th US in the early 80´s where she taught painting  and drawing at Yavapaii College in Northern Arizona. There, she began favoring graphite and colored pencil drawing. Her work showed in galleries and Museums in Arizona at that time. For the past 34 years, she has lived and worked in the North of Spain showing her figurative oil paintings in museums and galleries in Spain and in galleries in Portugal, Germany and the US.
